BUYER CHECKLIST

Look beyond the list price.

Compare brews per day, vessel count, heating method, brewhouse yield, utilities and labor. A larger brewhouse only helps if cellar and packaging can absorb the extra wort.

Ask the supplier for a line-item quote, lead time, freight, installation, commissioning, operator training, warranty and any facility changes. Separate qualifying equipment from ingredients, supplies and general building costs.

PRODUCTION BOTTLENECK

When does this purchase make sense?

Capacity signal: Brew days are full while downstream tanks have room.

Cash-flow connection: Capacity at the hot-side stage can reduce brew-day constraints, but raw materials and cellar capacity must grow with the schedule.

Build a conservative plan around actual orders, usable barrels, downtime, labor and raw-material purchases—not rated equipment speed alone.

PRESERVE WORKING CAPITAL

Put money toward the next batch, not just the machine.

An equipment payment path can reduce the initial cash outlay compared with paying the full equipment cost upfront. That may leave more funds available for malt, hops, yeast, cans, kegs and operating expenses—while introducing ongoing repayment obligations.
